7F6.TFK1A12 | Digital tools for English teachers - hands on training
Inhalt
This seminar is designed as a practice-oriented Digital Laboratory and combines short input sessions with extensive phases of experimentation and hands-on-training. During the 8-unit on-site session (03 March 2027), latest digital tools, apps, educational games, and AI-based tools for classroom use are presented in form of several “open buffets.”
Key topics include game based learning, effective prompting strategies, AI-supported differentiation and individualization, the creation of learning videos and AI-generated avatars, AI-integrated and AI-resistant task designs, as well as the use of chatbots in language teaching.
The main focus lies on independently testing, adapting, and creating teaching materials, supported by guidance and feedback. Between the on-site and online phases, participants implement and test the materials in their own classrooms. The online follow-up session (14 April 2027) is dedicated to structured reflection and the exchange of practical experiences.

Participants expand their digital, media-related, and didactic teaching skills and are able to use digital tools, games, and AI applications purposefully, effectively, and reflectively in the classroom. A central focus lies on the independent creation, adaptation, and practical testing of participants’ own teaching materials. They can select digital tools, evaluate them critically, and adapt them to different learner needs and learning conditions.
